Spring has arrived and so has some great weather.Ideal cruising conditions today with lots of wildlife sighted. Five humpback whales, including a mother and calf, sighted east of Point Perpendicular along with 100's of common dolphins and some seals. A spectacular breach made for some fantastic viewing!

A mother and calf Southern Right whale spotted today off Murrays boatramp. Quite a rare sight and last seen heading towards Bowen Island.We should start seeing the Humpback whales coming into the bay soon too.

A very exciting cruise today with over 100 pilot whales sighted on this mornings whale cruise.We have been seeing common dolphins lately and they are still around with 100's seen again today as well as about 30 seals feeding.Great photo opportunities!

What an awesome day cruising today. Still plenty of humpback whales around with 5 sighted today. Hundreds of common dolphins and about 30 seals feeding near Point Perpendicular. Great viewing.

Poor weather conditions over the past week has limited the whale watching opportunities, however the sun was shining brightly today and the seas calm. 6 Whales were located in the middle of the bay with all whales being active. We located 2 pods in the bay this morning. One pod was just east of Platation point and the other on the eastern side of the bay along the Grouper coast. Breaching and pectoral slapping displays were the highlight of the cruise.

Today was the start of the southern migration whale watching cruises that will run to mid November, and what a great start it was. We located a pod of some 6 or so whales just east of Point Perp and they were going off. We were not sure where to look at times as the whales were constantly active with multiple breaching and plenty of tail slapping. It doesnt get better than this.

Good conditions for whale watching at last. 2 Whales were sighted east of the Old Lighthouse this morning. Yesterday officers from Marine Parks located a Southern Wright mother and calf in the bay. It is thought that the calf was born on Friday morning. Watch this space for updates.

Jervis Bay has had some fairly poor conditions for whale watching over the last week as has most of the NSW coast. This has prevented any cruises for the last few days. It looks like the weather should get back to its normal winter pattern over the next few days so we are looking forward getting out there again. Todays cruise did not even exit the shelter of the bay befor we came across a lone humback just south of Point Perp. Then momments after this sighting another 4 whales were sighted under the cliff faces at the Docks. We spent the cruise following the whales between Point Perp and Long Nose Point.

As if on que the first of the northern migrating humpack whales were sighted off the coast today. The whale numbers will increase over the next couple of weeks giving us good numbers when we commence the 2007 season on the 1st June. Last years sighting success rate was 96% with aseason average of 4whales per cruise. With the whale numbers increasing every year we hope to improve on 2006. Still plenty of whales in the bay today. Six whales in three seperate pods. The first sighting was just 500m to the east of Huskisson where a mother and calf were resting on the surface. Some spy hopping was observed by the calf.

The whale watching season just gets better and better. For some reason the whales over recent days have been very active and inquisitive. Passengers on this mornings cruise enjoyed the company of four whales who spent the time breaching, tail slapping and pectral fin slapping. On a number of occassions the whales came within meters of the boat giving passengers an extra thrill.

Two humpback whales sighted on today's cruise,also sighted were some false killer whales and fur seals.

Great start to the southern migration with four whales sighted today. Also sighted on today's cruise was a large pod of dolphins and some fur seals.

The good news is that the southern migration of the Humpback whales has started with 8 whales sighted by our spotter aircaft on Saturday over a 1 hour period. We will be commencing our southern migration whale watching cruises on the 26th August 2006. The southern Migration runs through to mid November. Book Early!

Although the northern migration for the humpback whales is almost finished we did have a sighting of 6 whales this morning on our Seal Colony Cruise. The whales were very active with plenty of breaching and tail slapping. Our seal colony cruise conducted in August is unique to jervis bay. This cruise gives you the opportunity to veiw Australias only mainland colony and some of the spectacular coastline beyond the bay.

2 Humpback Whales sighted on today's Cruise, just East of the old lighthouse, 1 large mother & small calf, great conditions for whale watching. Whales were spotted by legendary Cetacean Spotter Mr Terry O'conner.

Today's cruise was fantastic with 2 humpback whales sighted just south of Jervis Bay. Also sighted today was a large pod of common dolphins and Albatross. Conditions were good with the same forecast for the next few days.

Unfortunatly poor sea conditions have prevented cruises for the last few days However we were able to cruise over the weekend with some excellent conditons. For the first time this year we were unable to locate whales on Sat. Three humpback whales sighted on Sundays cruise at Steamers Beach just south of Jervis Bay.

Unfortunatly poor sea condition prevented cruises over the last few days. Better conditions today provided the opportunity for a morning and afternoon cruise. Just the one whale sighted this morning off Beecroft and two sighted this afternoon off the Old Lighthouse. Over the next few weeks we should start seeing more of the larger pregnant females as the make their way up the coast.

Just one lone humpback whale sighted on today's cruise.Conditions were good and the whale put on a good display of breaching and lobtailing. Another pod of humpbacks were sighted in the distance.

A total of 5 humpback whales sighted on today's 9.00am cruise just east of Point Perpendicular at the entrance to Jervis Bay.Conditions are good with the same forecast for the next few days. Five humpback whales sighted on our 12.30pm cruise with passengers delighted to see the whales breaching lobtailing and spyhopping.

This mornings cruise provided a real treat for our passengers. About 8 whales were sighted just east of the old lighthouse feeding on small schooling fish. This was a rare opportunity as the humpbacks only feed opportunistically during the migrations. A pod of about 120 common dolphins were also sighted.

A forced layup of the boat has meant we have not cruised for a week however we are back on the water and the whale watching is still in full swing. 4 Humpback Whales sighted on today's cruise, great conditions & Whales were breaching as we approached. Our sighting success for the the northern migration remains at 100%.

Two pods of whales were sighted on the cruise this morning. One pod with 2 whales and the other with about 6 whales. Both pods were located east of Bowen Is. We also came across a pod of pilot whales at the entrance to the bay. Another great cruise.

2 Whales were located just east of the Old lighthouse on this mornings cruise. Conditions were ideal and whales put on a good display of loptailing. Conditions are forcast to remain good for the start of the school holidays. 2006 Sighting success rate 100%

With the conditions being so good for Whale Watching we decided to do a second Whale cruise in the afternoon, 7 Humpback Whales were spotted 3 miles East of Point Perpendicular, the Whales were fairly active showing lots of tails.

3 Humpback Whales sighted on our morning cruise just outside Point Perpendicular, they were spy hopping & tail slapping. Our spotter plane also spotted another 3 Humpback Whales 3 miles south of our position, great day good conditions.
