WHY CHOOSE JERVIS BAY FOR YOUR WHALE WATCHING EXPERIENCE ?

As Jervis Bay protrudes further east than most places on the east coast Jervis Bay is very close to the continental shelf, this means that the Humpback Whales travel close to the coast line here.

Jervis Bay Marine Park one of only two marine parks in NSW, is one of the true gems of the NSW south east region and its value to Australia has been recognized by its National Park classification. Its breathtaking beauty, its rich cultural and natural significance has long been recognized and appreciated by locals and visitors alike. Jervis Bay reputedly has the clearest waters and whitest sands in the country.(some say the world!)

The travelling time to reach the Whales is relatively short (35 minutes) more time watching whales. Contact us for more details on whales of Jervis Bay at Whale Discovery Centre located directly opposite Husky Wharf.

Activities: The park is a great location for swimming, bushwalking, birdwatching or just enjoying the tranquillity of the area. Visitor facilities are provided at Greenfield Beach, including electric barbecues, toilets, a shelter shed, wheelchair access to the beach, and information signs along the magnificent Scribbly Gum and White Sands tracks. From Greenfield Beach you can follow the White Sands Walk along the coast to Hyams Beach and return via the Scribbly Gum Track. Picnic areas with toilets are also provided at Hammerhead Point near Currarong and Red Point near Callala Bay on the northern side of the bay. Camping is not permitted in the park but the nearby villages and Booderee National Park provide a range of accommodation, including camping grounds and caravan parks
